Maybe instead of having an attitude, you should understand that you're exposing your organization to a lot of liability by not fixing your problem, if in fact you haven't fixed it yet.
If you haven't fixed it yet, you need to stop whining on this mailing list, and go fix it ASAP. If you're avoiding the questions posed to you earlier in this thread, I imagine that you *haven't* fixed anything yet.
Break-ins happen. But if you don't fix the damage, you could be opening yourself up for civil damages or criminal charges (I'm not a lawyer, and I am not familiar with Canadian law; I'm assuming things up there work in a similar manner to the way they work in the US).
This is *not* a threat. I have no intention of pursuing legal action against you. I'm just stating the cold, hard facts.
I forgot to mention that I do not officially speak for SURBL, nor have I ever. My comments are made on my own behalf, not anyone elses.
The extent of my work with SURBL: I used to run www8.surbl.org. I no longer do. (Although maybe I should start again.)
I think it's clear that after having done everything I could. From research to filing a removal request to contacting my web host, I was not complaining.
There's a huge difference between pointing out when something is broken and complaining.
It's as if all the admins don't understand that a shared host isn't limited to one site. And that we don't run that host. And that our host even provided the SURBL whitelisters with a statement saying we had nothing to do with it.
I remain fully confident that my arguments about broken processes are sound and had they be carefully read at least some modicum of understanding of the situation would arise.
It is unfortunate that a blacklist should itself be blacklisted.
I will no longe attempt to discuss the matter since it was clear last night that no one was actually considering what was being said.
Thankfully I have received a huge amount of off-list support from those who have been in the same situation and realize now that this is not the first time something like this has happened.
Good luck to you all. Petros

NONE OF THAT MATTERS.
All that matters is if the problem is fixed. And now you're flat-out refusing to answer the question "is it fixed".
I don't make such decisions, but since you can't or won't answer that question, I can't see much justification for delisting you.
